VEDA is a little corner where I share the food I grew up with—simple, nourishing, and made with care. I am a lifelong vegetarian, raised in a spiritual tradition where food is seen as sacred. I lived as a monk for many years, cooking in temple kitchens and learning how much love and intention can go into a single meal.
The name VEDA came together from things that feel true to me. In Sanskrit, VEDA means knowledge. In Russian — my first language — eda means food. And the “V” stands quietly for vegetarian. Put together, it expresses what this blog is about: VEDA – knowledge about vegetarian food.
To me, VEDA is about more than just recipes. Whether inspired by tradition or modern twists, It’s about creating good food to make, eat, and share.
When food is made with love, it returns that love in abundance.
Welcome to VEDA — let’s cook food that loves you back.
